Inspiring Day
- Inspirations
Children always amazing for me..
The 1st time I realized how priceless children, is from the Bible, Mark 10:14-15.
14. But when Jesus saw it, He was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Jesus said that we (as His disciple) must learn from little children. Since then I dedicate my life for children and education. In high school, my friends & I were serving the Lord through educating our juniors. And in college street children were the ones I thought the most, through “Sekolah anak Jalanan” (it was based in TIM, cikini). And when I worked as a professional my heart was filled with satisfaction with all the programs at Helen Keller International.
Through out my teenager to my 20s children are my source of inspiration and I am most happy when I am surrounded by those sincere & straightforward lil face.
As if I am reminded all the time, that being like children I will live my life to fullest. Why?
- Children forgive easily, not once I ever saw a child will be angry for more than 5 minutes with their friends
- They can be happy just with what they have. If they only have stone, they will figure out something to do with that stone. Maybe even break a window glass 😀
- Children trust other, full heartedly. Never once they will have a suspicious towards a new friend
- They can be friends with other kids or anybody, even if they speak different language
- Children really enjoying the “now” moment, without worrying anything else. Trust their parents, believe that they will take care of everything (I think that’s one of the reason Jesus said we need to learn from children.. to trust HIM without a doubt, like a child trusts his/her parent)
And the list can go on and on..
So I think that’s one of the reason I created Smallbites is because of this: I can not live my life without being close with children. I need a constant reminder that I should live my life like a child.
Playing with children during the session without a doubt is the best part of my job. But busy with Smallbites, creating my photography business sometimes just overwhelming..
So when I read that Indonesia Mengajar announced Kelas Inspirasi, without second thought I sent my application.
And this time, I joined the 2nd “Kelas Inspirasi“.
It’s been a year, and I am soooo nervous.. After I enter the school my stomach felt like bursting.. 😀
I don’t know if it was because I’m so nervous or too excited that I went in to the right class but in the WRONG SCHOOL! hahahahaha.. how silly was that?
But after discussing “my sillyness” with the head master and teacher, they suggested that I should continued the class.
Students in the 6th grade was so enthusiast talking about their dream. And when I started to introduced my “job” as a photographer there were like a “pause” 😀
Maybe because they never heard about photographer and met in person someone who actually works professionally as one 🙂
All of them were excited when I said “let’s try to take some pictures”
But even if it was the wrong school, I still enjoyed my time.. Not a minute of my life was wasted.. 🙂
I am sooooo inspired.. and ready to be more inspired for the next Kelas Inspirasi!
Would love to have you guys to join this movement.. Believe me.. It will change your life more than you can ever imagine..
ooh yess.. I am so blessed to have Tito Rikardo as my husband, he was off duty today so he took a few pictures of me, being inspired 😀
